DOA whats the point?
hi, I think DOA is a total waste of time!!
1, takes so long doing the same aggro and pull trick people leave
2, only need 3 types of character[ warroir,ele,monk }
3, if you dont take people you know and trust theyll keep you gems
if anyone else feels the same way about these tediuos missions please respond maybe we can get anet to fix it the deep and warren are much more fun

I somewhat agree to what your saying about how it is plain doing it over and over again. But also the end rewards are what people grind for, the tormented weapons/green weapons involved is what keeps it interesting for the players trying to get those specific and valuable items.

I don't like the wording of the OP, but the content itself is definitely worth discussing. I agree that DoA is mostly a waste of time, and for the reasons stated. The one issue I have is that I've tried to put together teams without Warriors and Ele's before, and finding monks were no problem. It's the other professions who won't give it a shot.

Well, today I went in with a pug to do the foundry. It was my first time doing the foundry, and we had severel others like me. But we did good, we managed to get to the main area, and we had 2 patrols more to kill, than we could finally got on to finish this area!
However, at that point of time, after we had died many times before, and even though we managed to slaughter everything like we were supposed to, our bonder left. More like silently rage quitted (I hope).
I guess that place isnt ment for everyone, and some ppl have no common sense - such as wh waste 3.5 hours of my time & my team?
Oh well, better luck next time.

Personally I lost interest in DoA.
1. Gems become available after a very short period of time (and you have to be lucky to get it back).
2. You Spend all that time for a measly 1 gem and a run takes like how much? 2-3hrs, something like that anyway.
I would play DoA if the drops take longer to become available to others and the gem rewards at the end are atleast 2 and not only 1 gem (considering the prices they are its better to buy them then getting them yourself). Deep/Urgoz/FoW/Uw are more fun to me imo.

Measly gem? 4 of 'em cost 100k.
It's not a casual area. If you're there, you're going to have to put in the time in order to get anything out of it. If you DO put in the time, you get more money for your time than any other area that I can think of. THAT is the point of DoA.
